Which Vehicles are Best for Car Seats?

If you have a small child in your family, you want a vehicle that is best for car seats. Not all cars have seat anchors which are required to fit infant safety seat or a convertible seat. To make things easy for you, we’ve listed several of the vehicles that are best for car seats.

2017 Subaru Impreza

The Subaru Impreza is a sedan with two seat rows. One thing that makes the Impreza car-seat friendly is its ample space that allows for two car seats to fit in the back row. The Impreza features two sets of lower anchors that are cleverly hidden under fabric-fastened cloth flaps. However, they are easy to spot and use as well. The three top tether anchors are also hidden behind hinged plastic covers behind the shelf. The Subaru Impreza’s back seats have hook-like connectors for installing infant seats, and it's easy to install a rear-facing convertible seat without moving the front seat forward.

2018 Volkswagen Atlas

The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is a seven-seater SUV with three rows of seats. The SUV is quite roomy which is part of the reason that it’s car-seat friendly. It has three sets of LATCH anchors on the second row which means you can easily fit three car seats. The third row does not have LATCH anchors, meaning you can only fit a rear- or a front-facing convertible seat there, but can still easily accommodate two seats. In the second row, the three sets of LATCH anchors are located in the slits of the holster but can be spotted easily. The three top tether anchors are located midway down the seatback and can be easily located. You can install a rear-facing convertible seat or booster seat in the second row without hassle, while still leaving plenty of legroom for the front passenger.

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan

If you own a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan with three rows of seats, you can install a booster seat and a front-facing convertible seat easily in the last row. Even with three seats fitted in the second row, a child in a booster seat can easily reach the seat belt buckle on their own.
